Okay so I have a 04 r1 replaced the stator stalled everything back together but now the the stator is digging in to the motor casing any ideas of how to fix this only thing I can figure is the bearing is pressed in too far any help with this will be greatly appreciated

Did you use oem parts and gasket only thing I can think is if parts are not to spec or used rtv or something and or possibly bearing faces are worn down but that isn't as likely I wouldn't think .

Wait now that I think about it the stator doesn't move . Are you saying it is the rotor cup that is hitting?
