09 facelift to 12+

Hello out there! I have an 09 R1, wanted to do a facelift to the 2012+ front fairing, I think it has been dome before, I'm wondering if ayone on here has, and if its just basically a plug and pkay? Is it straight up interchangeable? Or is there other modifications that need to be done?
