I think you can customize the shifting behaviour using the Bazzaz tools and a USB cable. Maybe it's cutting the ignition for too long? I've reached out to Bazzaz in the past - their tech support is quite good.
14 R1 Bazzaz quick shifter problem?
I have a Bazzaz quick shifter. The issue I'm having is that once gears 1 thru 5 hit 5000 rpm she acts like I have bad gas. It's been this way since I bought the bike. 6th gear is fine. If I disconnect the quick shifter brain will the bike run right? Do I need to take it to a dealer and get it flashed or something? I have a 2014 R1 with under 22k miles.
