I just whent and bought a 180 pilot sport for my bike wondering if it was a good idea the guy at the bike shop told me that it is better than a 190 is it true

The steering behaviour is much better, and your R1 will like twisty roads more than before. I used the 180/55 the first time during a long-distance competition on roads including a coiple of races, mountain sprints etc. and have not change back to 190 since eightteen months.

I myself just installed some Bridgstone BT's on mine in the 180/55/17 size and i dig it better for wheelies as well now all you need is the sproket set up.

I've said this before, but here goes. The thinner 180/180 tire the better in the corner. Better contact during lean then a 200.

The Pirelli Evo Supercorsa & Metzeler Rennsport I use now are excellent but they are raising the price pretty much for those now.

Old Michelin took forever to heat up, any better now?

There is a new Pilot Race, called Pilot Race 2, and a
Pilot Sport HPX and Pilot Sport Cup. Which one do you mean?

It was the Pilot Race which did not heat up quickly.

Isn´t the HBX just for Hayabusa, Blackbird? Made for highspeed use?

A 180 has a bigger contact patch than a 190. Strange but true. Search earlier threads to find out why.
