A couple of years ago i purchased a Zxr750K1 which
was fitted with an aluminium tank,close ratio gearbox & flatslides.

It had been parked up for around 18mths & was a pig to start.

After the plug leads had been trimmed to get rid of the green fungus
it ran a little better.

The carbs where then treated to a good clean with some carb & injector
cleaner & she then ran pretty well.

nice 1. love zxr's, them flatslides make it sound like a bag of nails..awesome, r u up north? there were hills ha ha. got any photos of her?

Your right,the flatslides are a bit raw

The main drag was the M20 between Dover & Ashford.

I have a couple of snaps but i will need to dig them out & scan
them.

When i purchased the bike,it in original Kawasaki France colours of
Green,Red & White & the previous owner had made a poor attempt
at polishing the tank - it looked hideous!

I had her resprayed in traditionl Green,Blue & White then let her go
via Ebay.
