I'm looking at www.newenough.com to get a 2 piece leather set up that I can use to do track days. I like Joe Rocket's Blaster 2.0 pants and Jacket (which happens to be on close out) but the jacket only has an 8 inch rear zipper and I want the 360 degree set up. The pants come with both half's of the 360 degree zipper set up so you can have the top half sewn into your jacket. Has anyone done this before? I would think that a good Tailor that has experience with leather could pull that off pretty easily. If there's a chance it's not going to come out right, or it's going to be a big hassle, I just get a suit. I like the fact that with this set up I can get a full perforated suit for a very reasonable price...

i have the same gear as you pretty much... it isn't a hastle to get the zip sewn into your jacket, however you need a tailor who knows what he is doing as that stitching potentially has to withstand an incredible amount of force if ya go down...

most people will say shell out for a one piece if you are gonna do serious track work and i agree... but if thats a bit out of your price league then the option you mentioned is the next best thing...
