I found a 2003 r1 block with pistons rods etc.

Can I use my 2000 r1 head and slap it on the 03 engine block and put it back on my bike?

My 2000 block broke.

I see that the pistons rods and cams are all the same when you buy replacements they will work for 98-03

any advice would be appreciated!

the cases are the same but need to watch for all the sensors that plug in. Damn looks like you have a busload of problems. Good luck getting them sorted. :thumbup

it can be done

i just mated an 02 bottom end to an 01 top end. it runs. like he said you just have to figure out the sensora and change out the pick up for the ignition. it has to be from your 00 just unbolt it from one and put it in the other.

I just bought a 2003 top end head w the cams and wanna mate it with 04 block is it possible both are R1??
