No doubt, as long as I've been reading the bike mags whenever a new bike comes out every bike mag will differ in crank and wheel rear numbers. Pick whichever one makes you feel better, you can't feel the difference in 2-5 HP anyway.
I just bought my 2nd Champions Edition and they really are no different than any early 4XV (98-99) and 5JJ (00-01) R1. Buy the cleanest, most original one you can find. Avoid the bikes that have lived a tough life. Also recognize that OEM and even aftermarket fairings and takes are very difficult to find in good condition.
I really need help! I’m desperate now. I got a 2001 R1 and it starts and runs fine, but if the engine is at running temperature and I shut the engine off it will not restart. I end up having to wait for about 15 minutes and then it starts. Please help someone!!!!

Anybody ran a 14t front sprocket? Any issues,complaints, or problems? In a nut shell, trying a 200/55/17 rear tire. Crunched the numbers and don't really want to run a rear stunt sprocket?. Bike is only for track days and the local track is a very small.
Hey guys and gals, looking for some knowledge on 98-2001 R1 Barnett spring conversion plates . The more I look at them, the more I can't help but think do I even need the plate or just the springs ??
