I know the 2002 is relatively new and parts are slow to arrive, have checked with Yamaha USA, and they are saying nothing for at least 4-6 weeks, however Yamaha Europe already has Seat cowls on there site for the 2002 R1, has anyone had any luck finding Silver seat cowls for the 2002? Would prefer Genuine Yamaha, anyone have any European contacts for parts out there, or have email links to parts sources for the 2002? Would greatly appreciate it. Ordered new carbon fiber plate & indicator bracket from Dynomite, waiting for that to arrive as well.

Er...I really don't think that's a photo. Looks like a computer 3d rendering to me. Look at the background, and the lack of texture in the seat. It's all-in-all too clean and plastic-looking (yeah, I know it IS plastic) to be a photo.

That same picture is in the R1 screensaver that you can get from Yamaha's website. I'm guessing it's real. :yesnod

Yeah I,ve had my 02 for about six weeks now and still waiting for the cowl. Better than '98 though when you had to wait for the whole bike cause they sold out.
