Hello,

I'm trying se find out more information about mounting a single sides swing arm on my 02 R1 - I have a complete kit on hand from a 02 VFR800 and I don't know if this is going to work. I do have access to a machine shop to do some mods but for instance, the R1 stock swing arm is 1.5 inches longer than the VFR one if I measure from the mounting shaft to the rear axle.Any of you out there have any info about it to share ???

well it would certainly be sharp handling with a 1.5" reduction in wheelbase. (not to mention the wheelies)
does it measure the same width as the frame (at the shaft)? is the shaft diameter the same?

BIG question: will the sprockets line up???
