Hey guys, my first time on this forum, just wondering what or if there are any differences between the 02 and 03 R1. What is more reliable, and is there anything specific I should feel for when test riding. Thanks for the help

Only difference is the paint job. I have an 02 and an 03, same bike different paint.

03 has a much higher speed flux capacitor... Also, if you plan on adding a full exhaust system, you might consider the 02 as its muffler bearings are easier to remove... Other than that, the only difference is the paint :bash

Actually the 03 has less welds on the frame than the 02s.

Don't forget that PITA rotator splint...What a nightmare! I'm glad I sent my bike back to Japan to get it replaced...
