I think it's an interesting way of getting the word out there about scammers on ebay. You guys remember when some dude was auctioning Gregg's bike on ebay? That was awsome. Ebay wouldn't do a *****ing thing about it. So we ran the bids up to a million dollars.

Someone used my bike in a scam. I emailed Ebay and they closed the auction. And emailed me back saying how it was a stolen account used in the listing, and that they gave it back to the real owners. They went on to say thank you- bla bla bla. All this is less then 24 hours

So from what I've seen, ebay DOES do soomthing about scams.

I doubt it... there are plenty of fools out there that will fall for the scam

Ok, I will be the first to admit I have purchased things over the internet, (Boat and Camper) sight un-seen. But I only sent the owner a small $100.00 deposit, and went and picked the item up, at which time I gave them the money for it, and recieved the title in-hand.

That is the only way I would ever buy something large over the internet.

well.. according to the ppl who are scamming.. the shipping from europe is very small.. thats if they dont offer to ship it free of charge... lol.. how about the guy from germany selling new quads at half the price.. i emailed him about getting validated to bid.. and he send me this huge email saying how he is from germany and wants to deal outside ebay and he will pay shipping from germany and all you have to pay is a small custums fee when it arrives.. so then i emailed him saying.. "So does this mean i am validated to bid on the auctiion cause i would prefer to do this through ebay because of buyer protection.. and he said.. No.. nodody bid.. he wants to deal outside ebay.. " i hate freaking scammers... :boom

my friend emailed him again also and said he was from Stutgard (however its spelled) Germany and wants to come and see them and purchase a few of them.. he never heard back from them..

watch out... IXI
