I just bought the -1/+2 setup and was wondering what the perks are for this?

Low end acceleration.

Right. Should help spin up faster but will sacrifice a little too speed. It’ll still do 165ish (if I remember right) near redline though. It’s a good track setup. Not as great for highway cruising/commuting as the RPM’s will be higher at any given speed

Negatives: lower top speed, higher rpms, lower fuel mileage, speedometer & odometer will be negatively affected. Meaning you speedo will read higher and you will rack up more miles than you are actually traveling. Both of these can be fixed with a speedo healer device. Here's the one I recommend.
