I’ll apologize in advance because I’m sure it’s been discussed already but having trouble finding the exact answer I’m looking for.

Bike Info:
I have a 2015 r1, I bought It brand new, I had the recall done on it back when it just came out. I only have 8k miles on it. Never wrecked or curbed it to cause damage

Problem:
The exhaust has rubbed a hole into the oil cooler making it leak onto my pipes

I’ve read some other posts saying they had the same issue after they had the recall done. That it was installed incorrectly.

My questions:
Has anyone had any luck on getting the shop to pay for it? Can you get Yamaha to cover it? It seems like it’s a design problem. Also if y’all did the work yourself what parts did you use to get the proper clearance off the exhaust? Thanks guys! Ride safe this summer!

Strange, plenty of clearance on mine, certainly enough to not cause this, I'm guessing its a manufacturing issue with the exhausts or brackets for oil cooler.
