Put in a sweet sweet AR + PCV and it ran beautifully... for ten min. Threw a fault, check engine light is on, and is stuck on the main screen with no ability to change modes or mess with yrc system. Seems like it wants to bogg easier and off the line it chugs along until it gets going. I am pretty sure it has something to do with the servo being removed and grave eliminator being installed. It seems 18+ doesnt have a diag mode. Looking for either a magical trick using some kind of dark magic to reset the bike without having to unbolt anything or information on the proper tools (Diagnostic and adapter) to be able to check and clear myself. Also, no idea where that would even plug in. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated. I've got a 2000+ mi trip coming up next month with 2 track days at sonoma and I really dont want to deal with this. Like I said ran beautifully until it threw the fault, doesn't seem to be mechanical because power is still there on the top end

Not even close.... it can eliminate a lot of issues. Disabling the EXUP is one of them. :yesnod

You can set your engine braking and set a lower temp for your radiator fans to come on. So many things....

Thanks, I really appreciate the help on this. Two questions.

1. If its flashed will the power commander need to come out (will the wire that's tapped be damaged if the pc is removed)? Or would it need to be dyno tuned or just upload a different map?

2. If I'm going to flash it, would it make more sense to buy a kit I can tune myself and just download maps?

3. I am only concerned with killing the fault code right now. Got about 3 weeks until a trip and just want this gone. Is there somewhere I can go just to have the fault disabled (i.e. yamaha dealer, mechanic)?

1. You will get a map on the flashed ECU, so honestly you won't need the PC but you could keep it installed and mess with the fueling map. The best map for your bike would be a custom one. I actually went down to SuperBike Unlimited and had them flash tune my bike and had them add the auto tune as well. So whether I'm at the track, cruising around town or hitting it at Deals Gap my bike will be running optimally.

2. You could... but again the custom route is the best option.

3. Unsure about the stealership, but as I said above... flash your ECU. You could always put the stock exhaust back on as well.
