I've had my 2021 R1 for a few months but have just reached the 600 mile mark. I live in Southern California, and it was a little warm but not blistering.
Got home at 5:45 pm and it is now 845 pm and the engine is still warm to the touch and the engine coolant reading is at 118⁰ F.
The bike never got over 220⁰ on the way home.
Not feeling good about this at all.

Sorry, typo, it was 6:45 pm when I checked the display and stayed above 100⁰ for another 30 min past that.

Absolutely normal.

Agreed. Absolutely normal. Just ride the bike. You'll be fine. Worry about the temps if you see things over 230 while the bike is being ridden. Once your bike turns off, it'll take a long time to cool to ambient temperatures.
