2nd gear problem

I would say leave it to a mechanic you trust. Pulling the engine out is actually not that hard, it's taking the gearbox apart and making sure all is prim and proper when you put it back together again that's the difficult part. At least for me. I've seen it done and if you want to do it yourself maybe write down a motivational on a post it and put it up in the garage. Like "I will not lose my sh*t today over this" or something.

Alright sweet. Thanks for the advice. Seems like a lot of work for one guy. But it would save me money.

Little late for a reply but here it goes,

I did mine with hardly any actual mechanical experience. One thing I will say is take your time. It is very easy to get to however, TAKE PICTURES!! Use the service manual and it will help you every step of the way. Unfortunately I didnt get one until after I put mine all back together. It's a very easy task though and will actually let you see and understand whats going on between your legs when you ride.
