nice bike, but 10800???????
thats the cost new price, with now miles.
tey selling the aftermarket parts sep, and u may find get some of ur investment back. i don't think that anyone here would pay that much for a used r1.

again break looking bike, and i am not trying to knock u or anything like that, but rethink the price or try ebay, where there are less knowledgable bike enthusias.

lol dude don't take it the wrong way.
but $10,500, is a lot for a used bike. have you ever heard of depresiation?

my advise is try a local newspaper, or try ebay, if you haven't already.
again, i don't want to offend you bu any means, but if you look in this same furom. you will see that other guys are selling 05 r1, for a lot less. and some with even more mods then yours.

good luck with the sell.

and don't get mad at the low balling offers, its just thats how much they are going for right now, being the end of ridin season for some of us, you could also wait until spring time.

Put it back to stock and sell the aftermarket stuff. You'll get more of your money back this way.:thumbup
i thought about doing that, seems like book on a stock one is 9750, most of the stock bikes on cycletrader with no mods are selling for that. as far as riding season goes, the southwest is just starting, seeing its finally under 200 degrees out here in AZ we can all finally ride, sucks for the rest of the country, they are all having snowball fights by now:p
i guess i will drop the price to $10k and hold at that, its still $11k out the door for a new stock one at any dealer nationwide, and then its a couple thousand more when the mod bug finally bites ya:yesnod

Bump for a sweet bike...

Don't sweat the price beaters on here.. The forum always brings the lowest numbers because it's an unlimited market. Check your local area value to be sure, put it in the tradder or paper and you'll make out better. Locally in my area right now going into winter, you'd be lucky to get $9,000 for your bike with all the mods but I also know a guy that got $10,000 less than 3 months ago for a bike very similar to yours. I know I can walk into my dealer tomorrow and walk out with $8,500 and you know the dealer will make at least a grand when they sell it. I'd have to say you not far off but don't walk away from an offer of $9,500 if someone is serious.. Good luck to you.

No, I meant if I just wanted to sell my bike to the dealer.. No trade, just outright sale.. He said he'd put it on his showroom floor for $9,499.

I can't give up the dealer location because he's a friend of mine and I don't want to risk future deals for myself. Sorry guys!
