Hi All
Couldn’t find the answer in the searches, so hopefully someone has an opinion on this.
The 5JJ is coming onto 25k klms so it’s time for plugs, was just wondering if anyone uses iridium plugs on their older bikes or jus go with standard?
The iridium wasn’t standard at the time the 5JJ came out, so would it be better of if I used them instead of standards?

I wouldn't think it would hurt if you tried. They're fairly cheap.
Good luck!

I prefer the copper core. I've jerked iridium out of a few and replaced them with copper. Customers were happy.

Mostly on Kawasaki's. Not many Yamaha's out this a way. Been a couple through the doors though, and they left with the stock copper core plug even if they showed up with iridium.
