It's good to see her still looking good. How does she stack up a newer R1 at the track?

I had the Mac radiator. Mine got up to temp no problems, here in central Fl. Radiator worked ok, it wasnt life changing. It did help with heat soaking after a long track day, but I still got the bike to overheat every once in a while. Better than every session though.
Also I need to note I don’t know 100% sure if I had a issue with my coolant system. I’m not 100% sure I didn’t have a blockage.
I would gladly buy another one if I had a 09-14, it def helps with heat.

I have to give up the street. Missed an entire track season on deployment and had to put my wrist in it on my last favorite on ramp during my first ride. Cold weather ain’t friendly and I’m not too smart. Looking at the front tire on the right side, my lean angle was way to much for the weather temperature on new cold tires. Won’t make this mistake again.

Found a nice small shop owner who wants to write up the estimate and help save the bike.

The rebuild continues. Stay tuned...

Yep. @Tad158 was right. You can guess where I lost traction at the top of the on ramp in this picture. The bike then bucked me off and then slammed on its left side and slid to the other side of the bridge. That’s quite some distance. I ended up in the center of the bridge.

This is the best fitting jacket I’ve ever owned. Mind you that I’ve only ever owned Alpinestars jackets but this one allows for a lot of movement due to all the stretch panels added for airbag inflation. I’ll be running inserts with it.

This jacket very aggressive but yet has the most mobility at the same time.

X14 replacement on the way.

Also, here’s a quick look at the rear ride height difference with the Graves linkage. Was looking at photos yesterday and put this together for anybody interested.

10mm along with a 200/55 rear is definitely noticeable and improved drive out of the apex “was running wide before”. Kinda compensated for my poor inconsistent corner entry.

Bottom is updated suspension.

Edit: Also, instead of going Deep Purplish Blue like the 2002 R1, I’ll go with Candy Cobalt Blue like the 2015 Honda CBR650F pictured below.

Nose, Side, and Race Tail Upper will be painted blue. Tank and Belly will remain matte black.

Change in plans. That paint job will require a clear coat and will be a lot more expensive.

I now plan to go with Electron Blue Metallic by Hot Rod Flatz. It’s a single stage urethane paint that’s suitable for flexible plastic. It’s the same paint as the black paint job on my bike now.

Here’s the color.
