Advice on peg mounted license

Hey, I recently rigged up my temp tag on the furthest aft, to pax pegs. I put it up as high as possible and bent it forward. Saw yesterday that the tire struck it pretty good. Cant really read it now. Anyway, are you guys mounting on the aft pair or the front set of pegs? Do you think the temp tag is the prob, maybe the real tag will work better. Just wanted some input from you guys. Thanks
