Has anybody gotten aftermarket wheels, like the Oz wheels? Seems like getting rid of that much (a few lbs) of unsprung, rotational mass should make a pretty big difference...

I have a set of Marchesini forged magnesium wheels coming. I had a set of the cast magnesiums on my Ducati and they were awesome.

I'm actually a marchesini dealer. If you want I can get you a set of rims.

No you wouldn't. Aftermarket wheels are at least $1500.00

they are $3000/set in canadian dollars(retail).

Aftermarket wheels are nice and get rid of some pounds but for a minimum of $1500 I don't think you are getting "bang for your dollar".

i got several of those "deal of a lifetime"back in 99-00...

from time to time i may find cheap i.e. $800-900 marvics from guys up here...but its rare.

I've got a set of Dymags on my bike , the difference is amazing! It's not just me that thinks so, friends with standard wheels can't believe the change in handling and flicability.
You notice the difference more on the track.

My front cf dymag sprung a leak. Bike feels like a tank now with the stock rim.

i wouldnt recommend hitting the magn. wheel in any manner if you want it to last a long time.
