I have ordered a lot of things from grapichartmotodesign (Robert) but they dont have this, anyone know a company (internet based) where you can order a aluminium chainguard?

Please send me our best links! :thumbup

The only one that I have found is in the U.S. It is www.goldstar.com , I have had a nice amount of trouble with them though. I had them send me 2 different chain guards and both times it didn't fit my bike. I am awaiting there third attempt. Also everytime one didn't fit it was another few weeks lost.

goldstar...

I saw one of those alum. chain guards on a ninja, personally I thought it looked kinda dopey...I dunno, i took the whole thing off on my YZF, just looks alot cleaner - i think those goldstar deals are pretty expensive too - about 100 beans...

Is it "safe" to take the chainguard away?

no problem yet

knock wood, I've had no problems - the YZF isn't excessively powerful either, and provided you keep your chain tensioned correctly, backlash isn't too much of an issue.....I dunno - perhaps someone else will see this and shoot me down for it, I'd love you know what everyone else thought actually
