I love my REEVU MSX-1. but the visors are way too expensive. Just curious if anyone has found another brand of visor that would fit onto this helmet. Surely there's another type of helmet with the same connector plates. Maybe I could change out the connector plates?? I'd really like more options. Those face shields that automatically tint would be pretty cool. I know Bell makes them.

Here's what my reevu plates look like.

I don't have one but I have been looking at them. Is it worth the money to get one? How much view do you have with it?

Well, if you had *really* good mirrors that let you see directly behind you I would say get another helmet. I had some mirrors on my F4i that stuck out sideways and gave me awesome visibility and made the REEVU unnecessary, but now I don't have mirrors on my bike at all. The Reevu is so good that I don't need rear-view mirrors on my bike. I can see directly behind me and turn my head to scan the different lanes. I can clearly see all the cars, and their colors etc. but if I wanted to check out the cleavage in the car behind me or read a license plate number on a car behind me it'.s not gonna happen. I can look at a red light and the road/car behind me at the same time though. The visors are too expensive and not enough options plus you have 2 visors now, not just one. If I could do it over I might get a Snell rated Bell Vortex+ The transitions visor and save $100+ Hope that helps.

What do you have now? I might consider trading if you had something nice.

And all I have right now is a half shell helmet it was just to get the bike home till I could get all new gear again. Wife would never let me have a bike but going through a separation and left car with her cause of kids and I have so much debt of hers in my name couldn't get a loan for vehicle and needed transportation.

uhhh, wait, is your R1 your first bike?? This is my 4th and I still think the power is crazy. The Reevu is good, but you could get other mirrors and a Bell vortex for cheaper. Some people really like bar end mirrors.
