i was at motorsports of ft lauderdale today formerly powersports, they have 2 04's in stock waiting for someone to buy. they want $11,300 otd. i was tempted to get it but i am getting mine for about $800 cheaper from riva yamaha if it ever comes in. i guess thats why they have them in stock because they are asking that kind of money...
anyone in fort lauderdale looking for a 04 r-1

Just wanted to say thanks for posting this thread. I called my buddy as soon as I heard and he is at powersports signing the paperwork now. He has been waiting since October for his Silver from Riva with an early March slot and he has heard nothing. I picked up my Red one from Riva on April 1. Needless to say, you just made his year. im glad i could help. i would of taken one but ill just wait for mine at riva, they said it might be here on tuesaday. what did you guys end up paying, did you get them down lower than 11,300 otd.

learjet, sweet ride, did you talk them down any. i am going to take you up on that offer for a beer some time. do you go to fuds on friday. i go about ever other friday. i hope my bikes gets in so i can get down there. also what part of florida you from.

Hey Silver03, that was me! My 1st ride on the thing. Timed it perfect between buying it and the rain showers.
Troy, we both live in Creek, you'll see a silver one now thanks to your post. I probably got a bit screwed but Riva was OTD 11,300 I called motorsports and they just matched it. I did'nt even care I just wanted to ride! I gave the manager at Riva some shit today cause I already paid for the bike there in full, but they couldn't tell me where the bikes are! I am pretty disapointed with RIva, I don't think I would buy from them again. I called them about 10,000 times, all I wanted to know was, where is it. I would have waited if they would have just picked up the phone and called to track the thing down. They said 4 sure 2morrow but I bet not. Anyway lets all meet up soon.

I was just at greater yamaha of palm beach and they had 3 blue 04 R1's on the showroom floor. So if anyone in the area wants one there are a couple out there.
BTW I'm still waiting on my silver 04 from delray powersport but if anyone finds a silver R1 in s. florida for under 11k e-mail me at [email protected]
