Anyone using Motul 300V 5w40?

Just wondering if anyone has had any problems using this in their track bike. Normally, I use Motul 5100 (10w40). I was going to replace the clutch this year and wanted to switch up the oil while I was at it.

What do you think?

My experience with Motul is only “personal feelings” about it.

I felt that it stays green way to long compared to Amsoil. This led me to “believe” that it doesn’t do a good job cleaning as well as Amsoil.

I DID notice slightly smoother shifts with Motul 300V (facts; not opinion).

However, I’m sticking with Amsoil.

I corrected my post above. I “did” notice better shifting with Motul 300V.
Used Rotella T6(5W-40) for about 10 years in the old 99. Then switched to Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel Truck 5W-40 because of a formula switch on the T6. Been using it for the last 13 years without a problem.

I'm using MOTUL 300V 10w 40 in my '98. She seems to like it , shifting is smooth as silk, clutch action nice too. Haven't tried AMSOIL, or Lucas, so I can speak for them......
I’m using Motul 300v in 5w40 in my 22 R1 race bike and acceleration feels smoother and quicker and shifts are also smoother. I’m in SoCal CA so temps can vary anywhere from 59F in early morning practice/qualifying sessions to 116F during the summer months at the track. But the oil is changed after the weekend so I cannot comment on its endurance but it’s a great oil. A little pricy.
JValenzSD-

Thanks for the info. I’ll keep it. I was just a bit nervous using anything outside of the 10w40.

Just be good about changing it more frequently.

I run it so it flows better through the motor (5w)

It can stand up to heat well too(40)
