it finally happened

Hello guys, :)

And i finally got one . Sold my 2 old 05's, and got a gorgeous '12.
Still to ride it properly though, a bit cold here, winter does not want to let go.

Omg this bike looks so awesome.. Sounds like a beast, feels like a twin. Looks angry.
From first impression feels smaller and lighter than 05.

I just stare and stare on it

wow, gorgeous! congrats man, :D

I did a few things to make mine more comfy, levers, rearsets, and stomp grips to make mine more comfy and help with fatigue.

Stomp grip for sure. I got tired of denting the back side of my gas tank when sliding forward..........if you know what mean..........:sneaky

Heya mate,

So what does these do to the riding ? How do they change the handling?
Improvement, besides being more upright ?

Also do they make the bike look somewhat odd (or funny ) ?

I have the Helibars on mine as well. I don't really think they change the handling, other than making the riding position more upright. I believe they are just a little wider, so you do get a bit more leverage.

I've never thought they made the bike look weird (or were even that noticeable), but that may be more of a personal opinion. Here's a shot of them on my bike:

If you're checking out bar risers definitely look at APEX. There are a few reviews on here and a local guy by me who LOVES his.

And OP If you like the adjustment of the factory rear sets invest in a good set and some levers because combined with the stomp grip those things made my bike a whole nother animal comfort wise.
