I saw those kind for sale at Laconia during bike week this year. They seem ok but I don't know how well they would hold up in an accident. They look good but don't seem to last. I purchased a leather jacket one year at a rally and it's cool looking but I wouldn't wear it on my bike. The liner has ripped and the snaps don't hold to well anymore. You get what you pay for cheap$ = cheap grade leather.
I just purchased a nice leather-tex jacket from First Gear an am very happy with it. It's well made and they are very reasonally priced. Unzip the linner out and there is some great ventilation in it.
