I'm laughing because mine does the same thing with the devil hi mount (a bit too lean for the moment) and I backfire in my friends face all day when he rides his ducati - I LOVE IT....blue flame all the way - scared the shit out of him the first time....oh well, PC3 here tomorow so i guess thats all for backfires

Make of "open" end can won't make any difference, it's effectively a 2 inch hole.

Popping (not backfiring) exhausts sound great, but ensure you're not running lean or you'll hurt the engine.
