About 11am Friday I went down :( Luckily my head took the full impact :crash

Fortunately though right down the block from my house. I was going out for a quick blast, got about 5 houses down the block in 35 degree weather with my full gear/leathers (freezing cold tires :banghead:) and I must have opened it up too much in first gear and out the back went, The bike slid about 5 more houses and I rolled and rolled beside it and it came to a stop after hitting a parked car in it's rear tire (thank God no damage to it) I got up and several of my neighbors helped me pick up pieces and carry them back to my garage/house and then I drove myself to the hospital and spent 6 hours there, x-rays were negative but I have a sore right hand, left sore elbow, left sore thigh, left sore knee and left sore toes/foot. Here is what it looks like now, not much damage I don't think but I gotta get prices so you never know.

A few bits and pieces and she'll be as good as new... sometimes the low speed crashes seem to cause more cosmetic damage or at least as much as the high speed.

That sux bro. 35 degrees, damn. My cutoff is 50. On the bright side it is almost winter and you'll have lots of time to get her fixed up like new.
I was just going out for a quick half hour ride like I do all winter, just to get the oil flowing so to speak...

whats that dark spot on the right side of the tank?
It's a scuff from my leathers or gloves, it comes off easily with a finger nail Bill, nothing serious.

Not bad at all, i thought it was going to be worse. The rash is real minor. When you get the OEM stuff put them on ebay (except for that tail). You'll be back in no time :)

Ouch. That's an expensive mistake...

I'm glad you were wearing full gear and that you're OK...

Chalk it up as a lesson learned. Get some heat in those tires before you start to wick it up. I hit a painted crosswalk the other morning when it was cold out and felt the rear tire slip a little. It was an eye opener!!!...
