Hi,

About to change the steering bearings and I need the exact dimensions for these.

Phoned the dealer today and they said that they cost $150 new. Aftermarket costs $43.

But there's yet another option and that's going through SKF. They are making bearings like this and I could probably get bearings that are as good as the original Yamaha ones but for the same price as the aftermarket bearings.

So I need the exact dimensions for the upper and lower bearings so that I can order them through SKF. Anyone here that might be able to help me out with that?

A friend of mine is a boss at a SKF plant if you get the dimensions for the inner and outer race I'll see what I can do.
no need for that, take them off, they have a number stamped on,get the number to the bearing guy and come back home with the new one...

these numbers are universal.

T FZ-1, cool! Thanks for the offer but since it's just two bearings that I need I think I can go through the local SKF dealer.

thanks martinc. Will write those numbers down.
