Can anyone recommend brighter headlights? Seems the ones I have are tinted and not very bright. Cars love pulling out in front of me even when on bright.

Osram night breakers or Philips gt200's are what I'd recommend. Others will probably chime in as well. Sylvania silver star's are what I ran on the bandit. They didn't do well in my '08 r1 for some reason.

The '02/'03 R1's are H4. I think the stock wattage is 55. You can get 100W H4's, but it's possible it may melt around the headlight housings. I ran 100w H4's on my '03 R1 and never had any of those issues. Just watch wiring around where the bulb housing is. Just noticed your bike is a '01. I think they are still H4's.

Depending on your bulb size they also sell H7. I have this bulb on my daily commuter and its bright but, also good light alignment.

LED is the way to go now. They have replaced HID as the brightest.

I used cyclops on my Husky, it was great and much brighter than stock.

I used these before unless projector conversion zero alignment. A lot dazzle into oncoming traffic.

Most led kits only put out ~2000lumen and HIDs will do 4000-5000. Even though the led kit ad says 10k lumen it's not true.
