i'm getting a 02 california r1 pretty soon and had a few questions...

what is the difference between a california r1 and a 49 state?

is it detuned like the california gsxr?

can i make it like a 49 stater besides the cams?

what slip-on should i get?

tips on breaking in the bike?

CA model vehicles have more restictive emmisions controls, including exhaust, intake, and fuel metering. More emmisions reducing systems such as the air pump recirculation system. If you want a slip on for your '02, the akra is probably your best choice, though a bit pricey.
