Hey, is it true that the intake cams on the 02/03 R1 is slightly off from Optimal setting? Something like 7 degrees.

If this is the case, is it OK to put the cams on the Optimal setting without any hassle, such as having to change ignition timing?

I am now in Sweden and umh.. well, using 98 petrol, it looks like I am getting a premature rev limiter. It initially stopped already at 10800rpms, but after some changes to the timing of the ignition we bumped it up to 11300rpms.

Anyone that know some facts about Cali model engines?
