I have acouple quarts of oil I want to use for my 02R1 but its been sitting in the garage for a good 1 year and 3 months. My question is, does anyone know if its ok to still use the oil. Be serious I dont want to feed my baby with anything but the best so please help if you can.

Unlike milk, motor oil has no shelf life.

You can get bacteria/fungal growth in some types of oils but I don't think this is the case with the synthetic stuff.

make sure the container has been sealed and not opened for that last 15 months

What kind of oil is it? I wouldn't be using this old oil if it did not cost $10 or > a quart. This would be like giving a newborn baby Dr Pepper :rock . What I mean is that since you have a brand new R1 (beautiful machine) I would not settle for anything less than the best. How many miles do you have on her?

I recommend using regular oil unless you have > 1000 miles, then I would recommend using Synthetic or Synthetic blend. No doubt.
