I was wondering if anyone has ever done any ceramic coating(Jet-hot) on their exhaust components? When I did it on the headers of my muscle car it brought the under the hood temperature down alot.

I was thinking that maybe getting the Y pipe and the extensions to the cans coated would help bring the under the seat temp down.

Any ideas?

I too am considering the same, at present my production race class doesn't allow for performance specific alternation; alas I’ve inquired if the coating is legal. If they agree it’s allowed, I will choose a method that coats both the inside and out.

Basically they have a coating that they can put on your exhaust components that doesn't allow alot of heat to get through. It suppose to also increase back pressure, lower the temp etc. It really is quite amazing and it kind of has a nickel looking finish to it.
