yes but i wouldnt advise it!!!!!

Use a ball peen hammer to mushroom the rivet with a really heavy piece of metal on the back of the chain (I use the jaw from an old iron bench vice). Been doing it for years and never had a problem.

hmmm so how do u do it with the chain on the bike??? do u just hold a peice of metal in one hand then bang on it with the other????
