I have a 00 R1. Had to buy a battery.. Need some help..checking the charging system. Volts reads 12.9 with key off.. drops to 12.3 when starting then jumps to 14.4-14.5 volts @ idle.. and 15.0 Volts @ 5K RPM.. Is this normal. And Does leaving a trickle charge on all the time ruin the battery.

Or should I be looking to replace the rectifier..
