ok so my girl has been getting excessively noisy in the clutch area and after another post here i decide dto take mine apart and check it out and found something interesting and cant figure out if it was like that or if it was caused the back and forth torquing of the clutcvh drum and maybe the slipper so here goes
first thing i found was that without even removing hte pressure plate or anything, was that tthe clutch drum had A good bit of play in all directions as indicated by the arrows, so i may need to replave the race and needle bearing shown in the pic here
the next thing i noticed after i pulled out the discs and steels which are absolutely perfect in every way even after 21k miles---- the clutch drum has these springs like a pressure plate for drivetrain shock im sure, indicated by the yellow arrows and the arrows also show the springs inside these cavities are slapping side to side (as shown by the blue arrows) only the yellow one to the left is actually making contact with both sides and not rattling
the noise im haring is surely these springs rattling like crazy in these pockets, hell it sounds like a tamborene when i shake it. my question is------ is this normal or am i replacing bearing, race, and clutch basket ,,, i think i already know the answer
