Computer Woes!!!!! Please Help.

Can anybody tell me why switching between pages and different topics on the forum takes my computer so long?
Recently my browser developed a glitch so I reinstalled Internet Explorer 6. Everything seemed OK until I revisited the forum. It now takes close on 30secs to go from one page to another!!!

When I am receiving my e-mail, it downloads as quickly as it always has done. However my web surfing in general has become a bit of a chore. I connect using an ordinary phone line and internal 56k modem.

Pleeeease HELP.

Have you deleted your temp files? I do know some people were having problems with IE 6 but I cannot say if that is your problem. I have found that defragmenting the hard drive helps also

Defrag defrag and defrag again. Try going to www.dslreports.com and goto tools and see if you have everything configured properly.

IE6...tell me about it.

you"re not the first!

check in tools,look for internet options;

check the security cursor...try medium or low.

should get things up.
