hey all
im new with this bike
its 08 r1 with 63K km on it

so ill make it sort,
i have read all the threads and still confused regarding the plug change/gap
in the manual the suggested gap is 0.6mm-0.7mm
but the CR9EIX is 0.8mm

so what to do?
just put them and forget without re-gaping? is it safe to leave it at 0.8mm?
or RE-gap to -0.1mm ?

thanks
danny

I would stick to recommended gap, however they will still be fine with that difference.

A gap difference on 0.1mm will make no difference

Well this kind of answers are confusing 😔

Is it safe to use the EIX without re gap?

It will be fine to use without re-gapping with just a 0.1mm difference, but if u concerned for the 5 mins it would take to put them in spec.

I stopped checking new NGK plug gaps years ago. If that's what NGK recommend, they'll be fine out of the box.
