Anybody ever go to the Dakota County Technical College track. It appears to be a cheap track day with some instruction. It's not a full track but it looks like you could still lay the bike over and have fun. I've heard good reviews about it from other forums but was wondering if anybody here has attended?:dunno

BTW It's near St. Paul, MN

I read that site earlier and it looks like a defensive driving school from the looks of that site. However talking with people from other forums they said it's a nice 1.4 mile track where you have the ability to drag a knee. I just wanted to know if you can cut it loose there or if it kinda sucks.

From people I've talked to, it's by no means a way of opening up like at MAM or BIR. Supposedly, if you are too aggressive, they will pull you.

DCTC is meant as a learning course. Nothing more. If you want to drag knee, hit up MAM which would probably be closer to you.

As long as it's not a timed event (aka a race) most insurance companies wouldn't care. If it's a defensive driving course, even better that they'd support it.

i think they're affiliated with MSF as well? not sure bout that though.. there's sport for returning rider or advanced rider, something like that.. if you've taken MSF course, they're still offering two more higher levels for you to be in..

Pretty tight and technical. You'd want to run a 600 or smaller there.

They supposedly have a no passing rule of sorts now. That kinda makes for a shitty setting in most cases.

Not worth coming from Iowa for it(IMO).
