...to catch up to another sportbike rider who you see ahead of you in traffic?

I must admit I do occasionally. I have to be careful though since I tend to ride faster and more agressively when riding with someone else.

What about the rest of you?

Ive done that a couple of times, but only to catch up to guys with really cool bikes like Ktm Duke's, Ktm Adventures, Triumph Tigers, Cagiva Raptor's.. I dont do it unless there is an intersting bike in front. If i see a turbo R1, or a tricked out r1 or a r7 i would. But it would have to be pretty damm cool for me to stop by the rider while im lane splitting to the front of the line.

i went for a ride with one of my mates one day, and man he split everything, if he could travel on train tracks he'd split the fricken trains, i can't be bothered keepin up with him hey,,,, to much hard work,,,rather just see a clearing and then give it a belt.
