Went down hard this morning, luckily nothing broke...bones or bike. I was coming up to a stop light near my house, about 25 mph started to load up the front end. I guess I bled off too much speed, the bike was almost vertical..or so it seemed. I was still moving in this position, I held it to long and by the time I got off the brakes the bike just sat there. Thats when I realized it wasn't going down the same way it came up, after a couple of seconds like this the rear of the bike started to go to the right. Next thing you know I'm thrown from the bike and the bike hits the ground rather hard. I was surprised the bike was totally undamaged, my frame sliders are the best investment I'v made. I had all my gear on so everything was cool. I usually don't get stoppies that high, average for me is around 3-4 feet from about 25 mph. This whole experience has been humbling, :no

the frame sliders and my passanger peg saved everything. I have a mig highmount, so the passenger peg on the right is out alittle further. The frame sliders have saved my plastic a few times now.

I dropped my 01 and the rear peg saved a LOT. :rock

Now I always put the rear peg out - even without a passenger. It can save your pipe, your plastic, and it's faster to get the ladies on :boobies :thumbup

PS - is this a faux paux (sp?)
