Well the 01 has 16,500 on her and started making loud clattering
knocking sounds ............when i tried to rev up a lit bit....... it was
not building rpm's...........more like just spinning in the case.....
I being mech inclined tore it down assuming to find the prob....
found some shavings but no noticeable damage.........She has many very long wheelies under her belt...........what have i done??

Pics would be helpful. How far have you torn it down. Are the pistons and crank removed? You could have spun a bearing or broke a cam, timing chain, bent a valve.....

Emphasize "long"...you starved it of oil repeatedly.

Well yes......upon further inspection i've spun a rod bearing.........
Thanks for any and all help........luckily i caught it without any other damage......... need rod and crank bearings. timing chain and cam sprockets ......new rings
and valves adjusted while she is tore down.... did i leave any thing out.............i'm using an o2 manual on an o1........can someone please post color codes for rod and crank bearings on the o1.........................and once again thanks for the help........
