Originally purchased on March 16th, it was finally delivered to me yesterday night May 2nd. I trailered the bike back because it was supposed to rain (which it didn't) I had to put the damn thing on a MOTO-TOTE built for dirt bikes but it worked (thank god). When I got back I got to inspect the bike in the light and notced a scuff on the bottom side of my crankcase and a scuff on the under portion of the sideview mirror (wonderful ain't it, I wait 1 1/2 month for my bike and get it with scuffs) None the less the bike is a beauty, will have pics of it posted soon. Installing Frame Sliders hopefully this week, along with Scotts Damper, and devil highmount slip-on after 600miles.:thumbup

Well I waited a month and half for this bike and its not the dealer its the shipping company. I've already emailed them the pictures awaiting their reply. When I picked up my bike from the shipper it was at night so I didn't see these scuffs because they were all on the black pieces and realized it this morning.:(

Hopefully you can get them to pay for replacement parts. Luckily both are replacable. The carrier should have insurance. Either way nice new ride!

well the bike didn't get tipped over because the fairings, pegs on both sides are fine. Just the oil cover and the damn sideview.. sucks :(

That shipping company should be charged with a class X felony for scuffing up something so beautiful. :p

Enjoy your bike. Looks like it got tipped over and they replaced everything and just didn't see those 2 items.

They should fix it with no questions asked since you hauled it on a trailer from their shop.

You are really ..........................

gonna love the look and sound of the devil slip on. It sounds ( I hate to say it.) better than my 01 with an akra slip on. I took it for a spin tonight just for kicks after putting on the pipe and damn!!!! I got the looks. I was passing through the toll booth and no shit some guy driving a 996 turbo porsche paid my toll ahead of me and told the operator to tell me to keep up. We did a little warp and I got ahead of him but he was'nt that far behind. Traffic was'nt non existent but it was there so the speeds were sane. You are really gonna enjoy this bike. It's so much more friendly than the previous R1's . ( My tach was cracked when I got mine and it's still cracked, I claimed it on warranty and had to pay 30.00 " To make sure it's paid for when delivered." > That's f'ed up they know they won't be gettin my tach for a few months anyway.

It's really a shame they messed your bike up, but I doubt there will be much you will be able to do about it because you accepted the bike from the shipping company without complaint. Even if they know they damaged the bike, it's their word against your's and since you are not a regular customer, the chances are slim that they will accept responsibility.
