Ok, i'm not looking to get flamed here but does anyone know of anywhere i could get financing for the "one". My credit isn't the best of them which is another reason for wanting to finance it. I screwed up a little in college with credit cards and such. But i'm sure there's someone that will finance me for a bike.

Any thoughts?

you can always find someone but it is gonna cost you. big downstroke, high percentage rate. did you try the dealer. They usually can get people financed. If they cant, they can tell you what to do.

no, haven't tried the dealer yet for fear of them seeing me desprite for financing. I feel that could jepordize my negotiating the price.

yeah.. it will unfortunately. I dont think there is an easy answer unless you go get a home equity loan and pay cash. If you dont have a house to leverage or some equity that you can put up, it is going to be tough. good luck though. let us know if you find a solution

Well i've applied for a loan at my credit union waiting to hear from them tomorrow.

If your credit union does not help then try Peoples First online.......they have pretty good deals with so so credit....best bet is the credit union though they usually have the best rates for bikes.

What type of credit history does a co-signer require?.. i'm 25 mom doesn't want me to have a bike, so she'd probably wouldn't do it. Dad...well just out of the question. Bro, his is decent, a little better than mine i think.

I'm new to the working s of the credit system over here in the USA, but I believe I've found an interesting way to finance fo those of us with no credit or bad credit:

Open a credit card account that provides you with courtesy checks with a 0% interest rate over 6-12 months. (you can sometimes find this deal with a balance transfer) Place a reasonably large down payment, and use the check to pay the balance. Of course, only do this if you know you'll have enough money to pay off the courtesy check balance within the 0% interest window.

Motorcycles are very tough to get financing on. I made $50k per year right out of college but didn't have any credit. I had one hell of a time getting a $5k for my yzf600...

i already had a non-refundable deposit on my r1 and then found out i couldn't get financed, yamaha and suzuki couldn't do it, so i put another $400 down, (total $1400) and paid the other $9k on credit card, its maxed out, and i pay $210 a month (min. payment) its not good and wasting ,money with my apr, but i want the ONE so bad i had to have it

Just don't **** that co signer by making any late payments. It is your and their credit on the line . . DON'T SCREW THEM OVER. .
