hello lads my front disks are pretty pitted all round both disks , ive had a search but couldnt find much about it . i was just wondering what causes it before i go get some new disks , thanks.

That is mostly caused in time, it also depends on how it is maintained and what quality brake pad is being used and if it's original OEM disks or a cheap aftermarket replacement.

If it's been ridden with worn or a low quality pads it also tends to happen.

Buy good quality disks, replace the pads before they are worn and maintain it. Front brakes is HELL important - take care of them :flex:

thanks m8 just one more question for you all , i had a search but couldnt find a definative answer but are the 99 and 00 front calipers the same as ive been offered a original yamaha whole front seal kit at 1/4 of the price .

Hi the caliper seals are the same from 98-04. Hope this helps. I just noticed youve got my bike as your avatar pic lol
