if the coil on the generator is cut...will it still work??

u mean one of those many coils is cut?
most of the time it will work , but only 2 phases will work (out of 3) and this will cause overheating and might burn the rectifier and the other coils.

As said, the cut phase will not work. This will cause insufficient electrical output to keep your battery fully charged and starting the bike will become difficult. It won't cause any damage, however.

I appreciate the feedback, I bought a used one off of Ebay for 30 bucks and it came in today.

I kind of figured that it had to be replaced. I was just worried that I was going to have to pay alot for a new one and I got lucky and found one cheap.
