I've just brought one of these:

http://www.geodesygps.co.uk/geodesy-plus.htm

I've done some searching but not really found what I need. Does anyone have any good suggestions for installation?

I have a Digigear indicator too and I was going to splice the same wires going to the clocks (only need power and ground) would be this OK?

Finally I have dark DB screen, will this affect it's performance?

TIA

:)

No it's not one of those GPS units - this is for fixed speed camera locations only (our Government loves em)

I was looking to get a radar detector and my plan was to mount it behind the windscreen just in front of the guages. There is a convinient spot on the farings in there to mount it. I also have a CLEAR DB windscreen but I dont know how a tinted screen would affect it

Mines a standard screen. Unit is mounted directly on screen.
Wired to the headlamp. (headlamp is always on).
Great bit of kit,,, saved me on more than a few occasions!

Radar detectors will work behind tint as long as it isn't the metal type tint (cant remember what it's really called). I have a passport 8500 mounted up front and it has saved me a few times.
